This mechanical interactive exhibit demonstrates visually and audibly the physics of an acoustic siren. It is designed as a combination conservation-grade exhibit case showcasing an original acoustic siren artifact as well as a two person mechanical interactive.The exhibit invites visitors to apply air pressure to a chamber with one hand while spinning two perforated disks at varying speeds with their other hand in order to witness the changing acoustic effect and corresponding degree of vibration on a model eardrum.
